A Christmas Story Live! is a 2017 television special movie based on Jean Shepherd's novel, In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash. It was a live, televised, musical remake of A Christmas Story. It is the eighth movie in it's series and has three predecessors (The Phantom of the Open Hearth, The Great American Fourth of July and Other Disasters, A Christmas Story, The Star-Crossed Romance of Josephine Cosnowski , Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss, My Summer Story, and A Christmas Story 2) and one successors A Christmas Story Christmas.
Plot[]
The plot is based on short stories by Jean Shepherd. The stories take place during the 1940's time period in Indiana. The stories follow a 9 year old Ralphie and his desire to end up with a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas.
